We are searching for research groups, research institutes and companies, nationally and internationally, working in bioinformatics, biomedicine or biotechnology and wanting to collaborate with us offering open positions for practices, PhD fellowships or job vacancies to our graduates.
The aim of these relationships is to create a growing collaboration network that facilitate the efficient transference of knowledge, technologies and resources between UAB and bioinformatics research and industry all around us.
This networking promoves two-side benefits: on one hand to generate opportunities to our students and on the other hand to brings companies the access to the leading research and knowhow of the UAB. The Msc in Bioinformatics is designed to create well-trained bioinformatics professionals who can become full contributors to your organization from day one.
We look for bioinformatics research groups, centers and institutes of biomedical research that apply tools and bioinformatics methods to analyze the results of their investigations. We also seek biotech, pharmaceutical and genomic companies (or similar) where our students can carry out their practicum project.
Sponsor student team project
For research groups and companies without a bioinformatics training area, the Master offers you the possibility to provide us your data and research results so that selective student teams perform the bioinformatics analysis with real data as part of their practice project.
Students in work teams will be selected based on their skills and suitability for the project, and will be supervisor by an expert professor.
Data shared by sponsors are under confidentiality agreements. There is no charge to sponsor a project, and all of the results of the work remain the property of the sponsor.
The master works closely with its partners to meet their current bioinformatics needs and promote graduates job placement.
We share student resumes and post job openings, as well as arrange on-campus recruitment opportunities as a free service to employers.
